Ram 1500 Window Tint Installation Guide
Install Ram 1500 tint in cab order: front doors first, any rear-door pieces next, then fixed or sliding rear glass. Lay out the rear assembly before peeling liners so every moving and fixed pane has its own matched piece.
Record whether the actual cab has fixed rear glass or a slider, along with the cab style. The fixed sections, moving center pane and latch require separate piece matching; film must not bridge a sliding joint.
Prepare Ram 1500 glass before applying film
The 2019 Ram 1500 manual describes optional power and manual sliding rear windows. The power switch is overhead; the manual slider has a central locking device. 2019 Ram 1500 Owner’s Manual, 102–103.
Keep Classic and cab details in the pattern request
The Ram 1500 ordering page does not publish a verified year-and-cab range. Include the complete model wording, Classic if applicable, exact year, cab and door count. If your records say Dodge Ram, include that wording rather than treating all 1500 models as one configuration. See the Ram 1500 ordering and fitment page . For a year or body not shown, contact MotorPeak with your glass details before ordering.
Match fixed or sliding rear glass
Describe the rear pane arrangement and any changed glass hardware before confirming the order. Keep liners on while mapping the supplied pieces to each pane. Do not borrow a rear-window procedure from another cab or Classic configuration, and do not bridge a moving slider gap with film.
Check the listed Ram 1500 pattern
Choose the kit using the exact year, body or cab, trim and glass layout. Send MotorPeak your exact year, body and glass layout to choose the kit.
Use the Ram 1500 vehicle page to confirm the selection. Keep every liner attached while matching the pieces to the actual panes. If an edge or opening does not match, photograph it and ask for help before cutting or peeling.
Apply the matched pieces and check the edges
Protect the interior from application liquid, finish cleaning the accessible glass edges and follow the installation video and installation sequence. Pre-cut film may still need shaping on curved glass. Follow the supplied curing instructions before operating windows or cleaning fresh film.
For existing film, complete the Ram 1500 removal checks first. Confirm windshield and roof coverage separately from a sides-and-rear order. Send your vehicle details and photos if a supplied piece or glass feature is uncertain.
Your Ram 1500 fitting sequence
- Match and clean. Lay each piece on its liner, identify its intended pane and check orientation. Remove old film and glue first. Clean accessible glass edges and seals, then protect switches and trim from liquid.
- Fit a front rolling window. Lower it enough to reach the top edge. Wet the inside glass and exposed adhesive as the liner separates, position the film and squeegee with overlapping passes. Raise the pane carefully to finish the lower section without folding the film.
- Complete the remaining sides. Use the matching rear-door pieces where fitted, then the separate fixed panes. Keep moving gaps, hinges and latches clear; do not trim an unexpected piece merely to make it fit.
- Shape and apply the rear piece. Dry-check curved glass with the liner attached. Shape film on the exterior when needed, using controlled heat and keeping it moving; the final adhesive installation goes on the inside. Keep sharp tools away from heater or antenna traces and leave brake-light output unobstructed.
- Inspect and cure. Check edges, corners and trapped solution before cleanup. Keep newly tinted windows closed for at least five days and wait at least seven days before cleaning. Cold or humid weather can extend drying; mild moisture haze can take up to three weeks to clear.
If the film bunches on curved glass, review shaping and rear-glass access. For haze, bubbles or lifted edges, use the close-up troubleshooting guide.
Choose a machine-cut MotorPeak tint kit. Estimated 7–10 days total for cutting, processing and shipping. Check your state's finished glass-and-film requirements before selecting shades.
