Nissan Altima Window Tint Installation Guide

Install Nissan Altima tint on the rolling side windows before the fixed rear windshield. Match the body-specific door and quarter pieces first, then prepare access above the rear shelf for shaping and applying the rear film.

On an Altima sedan, protect the rear-window antenna as well as the heater grid when replacing film. Check the film’s construction before applying it over antenna glass. An Altima coupe needs its own body and pattern confirmation; send the exact year and body because the order page does not publish a verified year range.

Prepare Nissan Altima glass before applying film

The 2013 Altima sedan’s antenna is printed inside its rear glass. Nissan warns that metallic film can interfere with reception and specifies gentle wiping along the antenna with a damp soft cloth. Nissan USA 2013 Altima Sedan Owner’s Manual, Window antenna, printed page 4–72.

Confirm sedan or coupe and the exact year

Request a pattern check using the actual year, sedan or coupe body, door count and full trim. A sedan entry or tutorial does not confirm a coupe pattern. See the Nissan Altima ordering and fitment page . For a year or body not shown, contact MotorPeak with your glass details before ordering.

Plan the fixed rear windshield before starting doors

Assess the lower rear-glass edge, heater lines and working space from inside the car. Check the supplied rear piece with its liner intact. If access requires removing a shelf, light housing or trim, obtain instructions for the exact Altima year and body rather than adapting a different car’s steps.

Check the listed Nissan Altima pattern

Choose the kit using the exact year, body or cab, trim and glass layout. Send MotorPeak your exact year, body and glass layout to choose the kit.

Use the Nissan Altima vehicle page to confirm the selection. Keep every liner attached while matching the pieces to the actual panes. If an edge or opening does not match, photograph it and ask for help before cutting or peeling.

Apply the matched pieces and check the edges

Protect the interior from application liquid, finish cleaning the accessible glass edges and follow the installation video and installation sequence. Pre-cut film may still need shaping on curved glass. Follow the supplied curing instructions before operating windows or cleaning fresh film.

For existing film, complete the Nissan Altima removal checks first. Confirm windshield and roof coverage separately from a sides-and-rear order. Send your vehicle details and photos if a supplied piece or glass feature is uncertain.

Your Nissan Altima fitting sequence

  1. Match and clean. Lay each piece on its liner, identify its intended pane and check orientation. Remove old film and glue first. Clean accessible glass edges and seals, then protect switches and trim from liquid.
  2. Fit a front rolling window. Lower it enough to reach the top edge. Wet the inside glass and exposed adhesive as the liner separates, position the film and squeegee with overlapping passes. Raise the pane carefully to finish the lower section without folding the film.
  3. Complete the remaining sides. Use the matching rear-door pieces where fitted, then the separate fixed panes. Keep moving gaps, hinges and latches clear; do not trim an unexpected piece merely to make it fit.
  4. Shape and apply the rear piece. Dry-check curved glass with the liner attached. Shape film on the exterior when needed, using controlled heat and keeping it moving; the final adhesive installation goes on the inside. Keep sharp tools away from heater or antenna traces and leave brake-light output unobstructed.
  5. Inspect and cure. Check edges, corners and trapped solution before cleanup. Keep newly tinted windows closed for at least five days and wait at least seven days before cleaning. Cold or humid weather can extend drying; mild moisture haze can take up to three weeks to clear.

If the film bunches on curved glass, review shaping and rear-glass access. For haze, bubbles or lifted edges, use the close-up troubleshooting guide.

Choose a machine-cut MotorPeak tint kit. Estimated 7–10 days total for cutting, processing and shipping. Check your state's finished glass-and-film requirements before selecting shades.
