Kia Sedona Window Tint Installation Guide
For Kia Sedona installation, complete the front doors before moving to sliding-door glass, any separate quarter panes and the rear glass. Secure moving doors and vent hardware, and protect their switches before applying solution.
A Sedona needs a moving-pane check beyond its front windows. Identify whether the rear quarter panes operate, secure sliding doors while working nearby, and inspect the liftgate glass separately. Factory privacy glass may remain dark after applied film is removed. Confirm the old or newer van range below and the actual quarter-window hardware before ordering.
Prepare Kia Sedona glass before applying film
Kia lists rear-quarter, side-middle and back-door privacy glass and a rear-window defroster for the 2012 Sedona. Power rear quarter windows, sliding doors and a power liftgate vary by trim. Kia America 2012 Sedona Features & Options, Exterior and interior equipment tables.
Keep the gap in Sedona coverage visible
The catalog lists vans from 2002–2012 and 2015–2021. Do not select 2012 or 2015 for a vehicle in the gap; request an exact pattern check instead. Select your actual year, body and trim; the listed ranges cover multiple vehicle patterns. MotorPeak machine-cuts your selected vehicle pattern; contact us for unlisted years or modified glass.
Inventory sliding-door and rear-quarter glass
Record which panes on your actual van move, remain fixed or open outward, and include any hardware that affects the glass area. Match the supplied pieces with liners intact. Ask for the exact window-use procedure before application; a video of another Sedona year does not verify the controls or trim access.
Check the listed Kia Sedona pattern

Use the Kia Sedona vehicle page to confirm the selection. Keep every liner attached while matching the pieces to the actual panes. If an edge or opening does not match, photograph it and ask for help before cutting or peeling.
Apply the matched pieces and check the edges
Protect the interior from application liquid, finish cleaning the accessible glass edges and follow the installation video and installation sequence. Pre-cut film may still need shaping on curved glass. Follow the supplied curing instructions before operating windows or cleaning fresh film.
For existing film, complete the Kia Sedona removal checks first. Confirm windshield and roof coverage separately from a sides-and-rear order. Send your vehicle details and photos if a supplied piece or glass feature is uncertain.
Your Kia Sedona fitting sequence
- Match and clean. Lay each piece on its liner, identify its intended pane and check orientation. Remove old film and glue first. Clean accessible glass edges and seals, then protect switches and trim from liquid.
- Fit a front rolling window. Lower it enough to reach the top edge. Wet the inside glass and exposed adhesive as the liner separates, position the film and squeegee with overlapping passes. Raise the pane carefully to finish the lower section without folding the film.
- Complete the remaining sides. Use the matching rear-door pieces where fitted, then the separate fixed panes. Keep moving gaps, hinges and latches clear; do not trim an unexpected piece merely to make it fit.
- Shape and apply the rear piece. Dry-check curved glass with the liner attached. Shape film on the exterior when needed, using controlled heat and keeping it moving; the final adhesive installation goes on the inside. Keep sharp tools away from heater or antenna traces and leave brake-light output unobstructed.
- Inspect and cure. Check edges, corners and trapped solution before cleanup. Keep newly tinted windows closed for at least five days and wait at least seven days before cleaning. Cold or humid weather can extend drying; mild moisture haze can take up to three weeks to clear.
If the film bunches on curved glass, review shaping and rear-glass access. For haze, bubbles or lifted edges, use the close-up troubleshooting guide.
