Jeep Patriot Window Tint Installation Guide

Work through Jeep Patriot installation from front door panes to the remaining door glass, fixed side panes and rear opening. Plan the cargo-area workspace before peeling the rear liner, and keep the heated pane separate from plain side-glass cleanup.

Include the right rear quarter window in the electrical-trace inspection, rather than checking only the liftgate. Match its film separately from the rolling door panes.

Prepare Jeep Patriot glass before applying film

Patriot’s 2013 glass-care instructions identify electric defrosters in the rear window and a radio antenna in the right rear quarter window. They prohibit abrasive cleaners and sharp tools that can scratch those elements. 2013 Jeep Patriot Owner’s Manual, 478, Glass Surfaces.

Check the Patriot catalog end year

The listed Patriot SUV range is 2007–2013. Request a pattern check using the actual year rather than choosing 2013 for a later vehicle. Select your actual year, body and trim; the listed ranges cover multiple vehicle patterns. MotorPeak machine-cuts your selected vehicle pattern; contact us for unlisted years or modified glass.

Do not substitute a Compass pattern

Use Patriot as the model even if another Jeep looks similar. Confirm fixed side-pane shapes, rear-hatch glass and replacement panes against the supplied diagram.

Use the Jeep Patriot vehicle page to confirm the selection. Keep every liner attached while matching the pieces to the actual panes. If an edge or opening does not match, photograph it and ask for help before cutting or peeling.

Apply the matched pieces and check the edges

Protect the interior from application liquid, finish cleaning the accessible glass edges and follow the installation video and installation sequence. Pre-cut film may still need shaping on curved glass. Follow the supplied curing instructions before operating windows or cleaning fresh film.

For existing film, complete the Jeep Patriot removal checks first. Confirm windshield and roof coverage separately from a sides-and-rear order. Send your vehicle details and photos if a supplied piece or glass feature is uncertain.

Your Jeep Patriot fitting sequence

  1. Match and clean. Lay each piece on its liner, identify its intended pane and check orientation. Remove old film and glue first. Clean accessible glass edges and seals, then protect switches and trim from liquid.
  2. Fit a front rolling window. Lower it enough to reach the top edge. Wet the inside glass and exposed adhesive as the liner separates, position the film and squeegee with overlapping passes. Raise the pane carefully to finish the lower section without folding the film.
  3. Complete the remaining sides. Use the matching rear-door pieces where fitted, then the separate fixed panes. Keep moving gaps, hinges and latches clear; do not trim an unexpected piece merely to make it fit.
  4. Shape and apply the rear piece. Dry-check curved glass with the liner attached. Shape film on the exterior when needed, using controlled heat and keeping it moving; the final adhesive installation goes on the inside. Keep sharp tools away from heater or antenna traces and leave brake-light output unobstructed.
  5. Inspect and cure. Check edges, corners and trapped solution before cleanup. Keep newly tinted windows closed for at least five days and wait at least seven days before cleaning. Cold or humid weather can extend drying; mild moisture haze can take up to three weeks to clear.

If the film bunches on curved glass, review shaping and rear-glass access. For haze, bubbles or lifted edges, use the close-up troubleshooting guide.
