Plan Tahoe tint around the actual door count, fixed cargo-side glass and rear hatch layout. Decide whether you want the front doors treated to complement existing privacy glass or a complete sides-and-rear film job.
Tahoe cargo-side panes, hatch glass and privacy glass
Make a window list from the vehicle you drive, including its rear doors and separate fixed cargo-side panes. Describe an earlier two-door body explicitly where applicable. Do not carry a four-door package’s window count over to another layout.
Check rear-seat and cargo access before applying fixed-pane pieces. Inspect the hatch and any separately opening rear glass, then clean the lower border and rear-wiper area. Keep nearby hinges, wiring and trim dry while using the available opening for steady reach.
Factory-darkened rear glass stays in place when applied film is removed. Check for an actual film edge before stripping. On rear glass with a defroster, soften the old adhesive and keep blades away from the bonded grid.
Chevrolet Tahoe tint questions
Is a front-two-window job the same as a full Tahoe kit?
Front-two coverage means the driver and passenger front doors. A sides-and-rear order adds the remaining side panes and rear glass for the selected vehicle layout. Keep that distinction when comparing DIY film with installed quotes.
Do I need to remove the Tahoe’s factory dark glass?
The factory color is part of the glass, not a removable film sheet. Added tint can have a separate film edge. Identify which is present before choosing removal or extra rear-film coverage.
How do I choose the Tahoe pattern?
Send the exact year, door count, trim and rear-opening details to our team. Include modified or replacement glass so the kit can be selected for the actual pane layout.
Choose coverage and the finished shade
The main sides-and-rear kit uses MotorPeak nano-carbon dyed film. Front side windows and rear windows can use separate film shades. Full front windshield film is an optional add-on; roof glass, tools and installation labor are separate.
Film VLT and the finished glass measurement differ. For example, 70% glass with 50% film transmits about 35% before measurement. Read the shade guide and the state-law guides before choosing the front, rear or windshield shade.
Install new tint or remove old film
Use the Chevrolet Tahoe installation guide for window order and fitting. Replacing old film? Start with the removal guide for its stated year and body, then clean away the old adhesive before applying the new pieces.
Sides and rear: $79.99. Windshield: $59.99 alone, or $39.99 with a sides-and-rear kit. Combined total: $119.98. The $20 saving applies automatically in the cart.
