Toyota Camry Window Tint Installation Guide

A Toyota Camry tint project starts with the exact car, not just the Camry badge. Use this guide to plan the job, identify the glass and decide where you need installation practice. Configure your Camry pre-cut tint kit with the correct year and body details.

Identify your Camry before ordering

Record the model year, sedan or other body style, trim and any replacement glass. Enter Camry Solara as its full model name rather than assuming a Camry sedan pattern fits. Photograph unusual window shapes and the windshield camera or sensor housing if you want the front windshield add-on. A video showing a different generation cannot confirm your pattern.

Plan three separate glass tasks

• Roll-down side windows: inspect the top edges and seals. Contamination at a seal can reach the adhesive when the film is tucked into position.
• Rear glass: assess the curve, defroster lines and access above the parcel shelf before peeling the film. Pre-cut rear film may still require shrinking and a reach tool.
• Front windshield: this is a separate add-on with its own shade and camera/sensor details. Protect the dashboard and electronics; ask an installer for help if you are unfamiliar with large curved glass.

Before installation day

1. Confirm that your vehicle details and desired shades match the order. Pattern availability is checked before fulfillment.
2. Inspect every piece on its liner. Report wrong items, visible defects or shipping damage BEFORE peeling, shrinking, cutting or installing.
3. Prepare a clean workspace, compatible solution, clean sprayer and towels. Check squeegee edges for damage.
4. Read the supplied film directions, then our pre-cut installation guide for the general sequence.

Choose tools for the job

The $24.99 Starter Kit includes basic squeegees, a prep pad and solution. The $29.99 Tool Set provides a broader tool selection but no solution. Neither includes a sprayer or heat gun, and neither guarantees access to every Camry rear-window corner.

Camry Full Ceramic Window Tint by Tint Studio is an external Camry installation demonstration. It uses ceramic film; our current kit is basic pigmented film. It is not a demonstration of our product or an endorsement of MotorPeak Supply. Compare the car and technique with your exact vehicle and supplied instructions; do not copy a different film’s heat settings. The video did not provide an available transcript during our review.

Questions to resolve before peeling

Does the pattern seem wrong? Stop and send photos while the liner is intact. Do not trim first to make it fit. Is the rear film lifting in fingers? Review shaping and alignment rather than pressing a fold flat. Should trim come off? This varies by year and technique; this guide does not prescribe removal steps or fastener locations.
